Community : Maine Web Report Author Lance Dutson Sued by Maine Office of Tourism Contractor
Community Lance Dutson has been slapp-ed with a multi-million dollar lawsuit by Maine Office of Tourism contractor Warren Kremer Paino Advertising. Go immediately and read Lance's post on the subject. He includes links to a summary of the controversy over the MOT's Pay-per-click advertising program, as well as to a pdf file of the lawsuit itself. The suit is only seven pages long, so I encourage everyone to read it. It's highly risible. The biggest punchline: petitioning for a jury trial. I can't imagine any Maine jury finding for WKP.

Community : World Environment
Community Hi All,

I am very concerned about damage being done to the natural resources of the Earth. Every second scores of trees are cut, waters are polluted, air is polluted by fumes/ashes from motor cars, factories. Open spaces are being robbed from us by concrete structures springing everywhere.

In developing countries these problems are of acute nature, in a race to get ahead economically these countries are destroying their natural resources. I know that certain changes are inevitable but the rate at which degradation is being done, is scary.

Isn't there any way out ? Can't we find green and clean fuel? Instead of wasting huge amount of monies on arms and ammunation can't we spend them on poverty elevation, natural resources restoration, finding cure to diseases like HIV, Cancer etc.

Lets hope that some thing happens before it becomes too late for future generations

bye
