Aljazeera.Net – Musharraf: Iraq war a mistake: “Though an ally of the United States, Musharraf on Friday described the invasion as a mistake and said it had complicated the ‘war on terror’.
‘It has ended up bringing more trouble to the world,’ Musharraf said in a television interview.
‘The world is more dangerous because the Iraq war has aroused the passions of the Muslims more,’ he added.
‘The war in Iraq has complicated the war on terror … it has made the job more difficult.’” More…
It will be interesting to see if US mainstreet media pick up on this story on Sunday 9/26. Musharaff has been a long supporter of US efforts to eliminate Al-Quada. It is no wonder Pakistan sees the Iraqi War as a distraction from the search and destroy mission in Afganistan and in the border regions of their country.
