The Useless U.N. — Try the Obama Approach: Diplomacy

When you read how demented these islamic facists are toward wiping out the Jewish state of Israel one can’t help but wonder how the new political star and CHANGE agent, Barack Obama would handle the situation if Hamas was lobbing rockets from a Canadian island in the St. Lawrence into Vermont. We’ll we already know he would have in fact been “talking” his way out of the situation. Just picture the following situation here in the U.S. Better still… would you really feel comfortable with a wide eyed idealist as Commander in Chief?? I thought I would never hear myself say this, but I would take Hillary over Obama if in fact I was a democrat. How does one negotiate with terrorists that have formed a duly elected representative government thanks to the “democratization” of Palestine without selling out those they wish to annihilate? The grand body of all talk, hyperbole and grandstanding, the U.N., can’t even come up with its usual impotent statement of condemnation, because terror sponsoring nations have infiltrated that useless body of talking heads.

The United Nations Security Council held an emergency session in New York, where it failed to agree on a U.S. statement that “condemned in the strongest terms” the shootings, because of Libyan opposition.

“This is what happens when the Security Council is infiltrated by terrorists,” Israeli Ambassador Dan Gillerman said. “The country that blocked it is a country that knows more about terror than most other countries in the world.”

Libya doesn’t “need a certificate of good conduct from the Israeli terrorist regime,” the country’s Deputy Ambassador Ibrahim Dabbashi told reporters and condemned the killing of Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said he is “deeply concerned at the potential for continued acts of violence and terrorism to undermine the political process.”

The killings “are an arrow aimed at the heart of the peace process,” U.K. Foreign Secretary David Miliband said in a statement late yesterday.

Javier Solana, the European Union’s foreign policy chief, telephoned Livni following the attack and sent his “condolences to the families of the victims,” his office said. More…

How much more talking would you tolerate if your country was being shelled on a regular basis. Israel is showing great constraint. From my perspective until Israel’s arab neighbors reign in the likes of Hamas and Hezboulah there will never be peace in the Middle East. Only other Islamic Nations can stop the travesty that continues to occur in their own neighborhood. Their continued inaction will come at a very high cost if several megatons of E=MC2 is released in their back yards from either one of the protagonists. Gaza needs to be re-occupied by Arab nations and Hamas driven into the sea or destroyed. Then they should put Iran, Syria and Hezboulah on notice that they will be next until all these lunatic fringe groups are brought under control. I sure don’t see Obama having this type of leadership. He talks more like the rhetoric that lead up to WW I, where Neville Chamberlain felt he could talk his way out of a war with Germany. He took the bait hook line and sinker. Obama seems to be singing from this historical hymn book.
