There are two sides to every story. Some say that the Georgia president was gambling that Russia would flinch especially with the Olympics going on. The "break away" mentality is spreading and some of these would be independent states are playing a dangerous game. Consider if Quebec decided to break away from Canada and in the process began attacking police in Ontario for example. Who should the world support? Suppose the illegals in the city of say El Paso decided to organize and claim they are part of Mexico. Who would the world support if the U.S. came down hard on those groups? It is truly a slippery slope !!! When the U.S. and NATO supported the breakaway in Serbia -- the pandor's box was opened. (Ethinic cleansing was only part of the issues there).

It will be interesting to see what happens since the U.S. has changed the game since 9/11. What will be more interesting is how Obama reacts. He is still sequestered up in Mt. Mona Loa not a peep.... He already suggested that the U.N Security Council be conviened forgetting that like us and China, Russia has full veto power. What was he thinking ?
