Obama Looses the Psychological Underdog Factor to Clinton

Do you get a a sense that if the Iowa Caucus was run again on Tuesday along with North Carolina and Indiana that the result might be quite a bit different? Americans do have a passion for drama and support for the underdog. How much of that passion was at play in the early primaries? Back at the beginning of the primaries, there was no doubt that Barack Obama was the clear underdog and Hillary Clinton was supposed to be the hands down sure thing. If you are honest with yourself there was also an unspoken tension regarding race as a potential differentiator. Thus the MSM did virtually no investigation of Barack’s personal associations for fear of being branded as playing a race card if they were the first to break a negative or controversial story or fact.

Ironically — it was Barack’s own pastor of 20 years that has now opened the lid on the race card pandora’s box. Not the Republicans, not Hillary Clinton or John McCain, but his long time association with a radical black minister who by the way does not represent the value system of mainsteam black Americans. Obama even acknowledges openly that the issue of his judgement for being so closely associated with this pastor IS in fact a fair issue in the campaign.

Sorry Barack, but throwing Rev. Wright under the bus now is a bit late. No matter what transpires within the Democratic National Committee’s smoke filled rooms, no matter what else Howard Dean has to say on Fox News, you have damaged yourself by your own poor judgment and nativity about the impact your past associations will have on your political aspirations. Are we to believe that after 20 years of association with this racist minister, that you have just now received the great awakening and revelation that his value system is not in alignment with your own? If this is really true and you are being honest with us this just reinforces the concern that many Democrats are having that your lack of judgment and experience is a serious Achilles heel in a national election.

Obama’s “Great Race Speech” although lofty and elequent did nothing to answer the fundemantal question as to WHY he remained a member of a congregation that so clearly and joyously reveled in the views of this radical pastor. Barack, the Prophet of Change, has now elected to do what every other belt way politician does, throw him under that same bus seen still dragging his white grandmother from his so called historic race speech.

As a result of all of the doubts that have been raised in the minds of many voters concerning Obama’s true value system and potential integrity issues, Hillary now finds herself with the beloved and sometimes blessed underdog status and with a tailwind. The good voters of North Carolina and Indiana, have the rare chance to shape history by keeping both the drama of the race AND the intellectual debate between Obama and Clinton alive.

American Thinker: Obama’s Trap
Barack Obama set the trap. Then he stepped in it. Or, as Reverend Wright might put it, Barack’s chickens are coming home to roost.

Six weeks ago, Obama’s status as the Messiah was dramatically enhanced for having turned the negative of Reverend Wright into a “much needed” exploration of race in America. So eager was the liberal establishment for confirmation that race is the biggest problem in this country (and that Barack is the solution) that they didn’t see the obvious; they were being deceived by a cynical sleight of hand.

As virtually every intelligent (and honest) pundit noted, along with millions of average Americans, the Wright controversy wasn’t about race. It was about patriotism. Any person seeing those clips said to themselves, “I would never have been part of this man’s church. I’d have gotten up and left.”

It is Barack Obama’s comfort in remaining in an environment that regular folk would have abandoned in an instant that leads to the most intriguing part of the Wright debacle. That choice is the most powerful insight we’ve been given into what kind of man Barack is, and what sort of decision-maker he would be if we decide to give him his first management position…

Obama Throws Rev. Wright Under the Bus

Maybe it was hearing his middle name repeated over and over again on national TV that was the straw that broke this candidate’s back. Maybe it was the latest poll showing Hillary having a much better chance of winning against John McCain in November. Whatever it was, today Obama finally threw his pastor of 20 years under the bus. What’s even more incredible is he would have us all believe that he had no idea that Rev. Wright was so hateful, bigoted and racist until this past weekend. Pretty hard pill for all those bitter poor white backwoods, gun toting bible thumpers in rural America to swallow don’t you think?

(WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina - Reuters) - Democratic Sen. Barack Obama strongly denounced his former pastor on Tuesday, saying he was outraged by assertions made by Rev. Jeremiah Wright about the U.S. government and race that have disrupted Obama’s presidential campaign.

The controversy over Wright has been a major stumbling block for the Illinois senator, who is leading New York Sen. Hillary Clinton in the state-by-state contest for the party’s nomination for the November election.

Obama was forced to address the issue after an appearance by Wright on Monday at the National Press Club in Washington, where he repeated earlier suggestions that the United States deserved some blame for the September 11 attacks and that the government had had a hand in spreading AIDS to blacks.

“I am outraged by the comments that were made and saddened over the spectacle that we saw,” Obama told reporters as he campaigned for the North Carolina vote against Clinton next Tuesday.

“The person that I saw yesterday was not the person that I met 20 years ago. His comments were not only divisive and destructive but I believe that they end up giving comfort to those who prey on hate,” Obama said.

Wright’s comments have undercut the campaign of Obama, the son of a white mother and a black father who has based his campaign on a promise to unite the country after years of sharp political and racial divisions.

Howard Dean’s head must be about to explode! Just as it looked like he might have had a shot of shutting down the campaign forcing the hand of Super-Delegates and disenfranchising the remaining primary states, the good Reverend gives Hillary Clinton more life! The time for Obama to have distanced himself from the Rev. Wright radical black ideology was 20 years ago not 48 hours ago. It goes to right to the issue of his judgment as well as his political immaturity.

Regardless of what Obama says now, it will be very hard for him to disassociate himself from someone with such a radical and anti-American point of view as Rev. Wright who reinforced that ideology on National TV for all to see. In fact, Rev. Wright ironically is showing more integrity and consistency in his beliefs by at least NOT changing his perspectives on America, or backpedaling on ANY of the comments made in his sermons of the past 20 years. It’s Obama that is looking like the typical beltway flip flop politician by attempting to spin his way out of this association!! What was that about CHANGE Barack???

Hamas Supporting Obama: Hoping for Change of American Policy vs. Hamas

On Sunday, Aaron Klein and John Batchelor interviewed Ahmed Yousef, chief political adviser to the Prime Minister of Hamas, on WABC radio. The interview produced a scoop which, for some reason, has not been widely publicized: Hamas has endorsed Barack Obama for President. Yousef said, “We like Mr. Obama and we hope he will win the election.” Why? “He has a vision to change America.” Maybe Yousef has some insight into what Obama means by all these vague references to “change.”

Of course, Hamas’s taste in American presidents is suspect. Yousef also described Jimmy Carter, who was about to pay a call on Hamas when the interview was taped, as “this noble man” who “did an excellent job as President.”

Yousef was asked about Obama’s condemnation of Carter’s visit with Hamas, but didn’t seem troubled by it. Hamas, he says, understands American politics; this is the election season, and everyone wants to sound like a friend of Israel. Nevertheless, he hopes that the Democrats will change American policies when they take office. [ You can take that to the bank -- .ed]

Hillary Has Her Wedge Issue vs. Obama in Pennsyvlania

Well it seems that the good Senator from New York has finally found a wedge issue thanks to a subliminal remark made in San Francisco from that great orator and change agent, Sen. B. H. Obama (D-IL). It will be interesting to see if Hillary has the courage in the days ahead to take her gloves off and capitalize on what must clearly be seen as an Obama stereotype of the poor in rural Appalachia or rural America in general for that matter.

In an extremely elitist remark, presumably pointed at poor Democrats in Pennsylvania, many of whom are white by the way and not “immigrants of color” as in the major U.S. cities, Obama implied that “they” have resorted to clinging to “guns and religion” as a result of their frustrations. Actually what have rural local Democrat leaders done for these good folk in terms of real representation in D.C. anyway? Virtually nothing. Why any voter in rural America still clings to the Democrat party when it’s clear there interests lie mostly in helping inner city poor is astounding.

So exactly what was it that came out of Barack H. Obama’s gilded mouth? Could it have been a Freudian Rev. Wright subliminal slip?? Why the remark about gun ownership? Clearly inferring owning a gun somehow makes one less intelligent or under-privileged or just not enlightened or on board with his current infatuated followings “change” politics? What does “holding on to guns” “or religion” have to do with being poor anyway? Sure sounds like that old back woods cracker NASCAR “red neck” racist stereotype from high brow liberal intelligencia is rearing its ugly head again! Why should anyone be surprised? Didn’t you think that absorbing 20 years of Rev. Wright’s fiery sermons would not have an effect on his thinking, judgment and cultural outlook? Did we all just see a glimpse of the upcoming Obama agenda once he is in the White House? Support for even more secularism, abolishing the 2nd Amendment, and marginalizing rural God fearing America? WASHINGTON — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, known for his skills as an orator, conceded today that comments he made at a private San Francisco fundraiser about working-class Democrats clinging to “guns or religion” were poorly chosen.
“I didn’t say it as well as I should have,” he said. “But what is absolutely true is that people don’t feel like they are being listened to. And so they pray and they count on each other and they count on their families.”

Seeking to defuse the damage among blue-collar Democrats essential to his chances in upcoming primaries in Pennsylvania and Indiana, Obama told a crowd in Muncie, Ind., that he only meant to show empathy.

“Lately, there’s been a little typical sort of political flare-up because I said something that everybody knows is true, which is that there are a whole bunch of folks in small towns in Pennsylvania, in towns right here in Indiana, in my hometown in Illinois, who are bitter,” Obama said. “They are angry, they feel like they’ve been left behind. They feel like nobody’s paying attention to what they’re going through.”

The controversy — fanned by rivals Hillary Rodham Clinton and John McCain — began when the Huffington Post website published remarks the Illinois senator made last weekend at a closed-door San Francisco fundraiser.

In those comments, Obama responded to a question about why his candidacy was struggling in Pennsylvania by saying that residents of some hard-pressed communities had grown bitter.

“You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them,” Obama said. “And it’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Fellow Democrat Clinton, campaigning in Pennsylvania ahead of the state’s April 22 primary, seized on the remarks, suggesting that Obama was offering condescension rather than solutions. “Pennsylvania doesn’t need a president who looks down on them,” the New York senator said at a Philadelphia rally. “They need a president who stands up for them, who fights for them.” — More

Seems like he just fell short of calling those good folk backward.

A strategist for Sen. McCain (R-Ariz.) also joined in the criticism. “Instead of apologizing to small-town Americans for dismissing their values, Barack Obama arrogantly tried to spin his way out of his outrageous San Francisco remarks,” said campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds. “You can’t be more out of touch than that.”

Obama tends to come off as a condescending elitist not to mention he is so far left politically that he is virtually a socialist. MSM has not bothered to peel the onion back because they don’t want to spoil the great “historic moment” if he should win the Presidency. How long will it take for the main stream media to question “where’s the beef” from this candidate running for President of the United States outside of great sermon like speech making?

He also has some explaining to do regarding his alleged friendship with know anarchist Weatherman terrorist leader William Ayers during the 60’s. A story that is still being disputed but investigated intensively by Sean Hannity on the right. Even if it proves to be true it will be spun as just one more of those past associations during those innocent love child turbulent radical 60’s years that happened a long time ago while John MCain was sitting in his hotel room at the Hanoi Hilton. You know, not unlike the acquaintances of Jane Fonda and John Kerry photos together at the D.C. anti-Vietnam War pro North Vietnam surrender rallies. Sure hope he didn’t hang out with Stokey Carmichael and the Black Panthers! The MSM still has yet to ask him about the vocal support he is getting from Louis Farrakhan and the Black Muslims despite the Obama’s campaigns strong efforts to distance themselves from the anti-semitic black religious leader and his controversial organization.

Experiance Firing Aides May Benefit Clinton Campaign

With less than 16 days to go to the Pennsylvania primary Sen. Hillary Clinton has apparently approved unleashing a new TV ad campaign strategy highlighting her experience at firing key campaign officials. America has come to really begin to know the former first lady as a warm and caring person during her recent tribulations during the last several months.

The kinder, gentler, Hillary Clinton however seems to be an image that will be shattered in this new set of ads to run over the next several weeks as political satirist Scott Ott points out. The gloves are coming off. “You know it’s not easy making these difficult decisions” the Senator from New York allegedly replied when asked about her directive to turn up the heat in these newest ads. “Democrat voters really appreciate a take charge leader who has the capacity to step up and make those tough decisions.. regardless of who they impact.” She was also overheard saying to her ex campaign manager Mark Penn, “You understand Mark I’m sure… don’t take it personal” she added, “That 3AM phone call ad is still riveted in the minds of voters… we recognized it as a great opportunity it was our best work. We plan to ride the wave of late night calls demonstrating my experience all the way to the convention floor.” “Obama hasn’t cornered the market on “CHANGE” you know!”…

(PHILADELPHIA) — In the wake of this weekend’s removal of her chief campaign strategist, Mark Penn, Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign launched a new TV ad touting her leadership and experience in shaking up staff and firing loyal friends.

Mr. Penn, who has steered Clinton family strategy for 12 years, quit over the weekend after revelations in The Wall Street Journal that he had signed a deal with the Colombian government to promote a free-trade agreement with the U.S. that Sen. Clinton opposes. His departure comes as Sen. Clinton trails Sen. Barack Obama in the delegate count, the popular vote and in fund raising.

Fewer than 60 days ago, Sen. Clinton replaced her campaign manager, Patti Solis Doyle, in the wake of poor performance in the Super Tuesday primaries. Former vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro left the Clinton campaign less than a month ago, after sparking a firestorm of controversy over racially-insensitive remarks.

In a reprise of a now-famous ad, written by Mr. Penn, the narrator in the latest TV spot says:

“It’s 3 a.m. and your children are safe and asleep, but there’s a phone ringing in the White House, because the president’s top adviser is working with a foreign government to promote a trade agreement that the president opposes. Who do you want to answer that call? Or perhaps the president’s popularity has plummeted and her staff can’t rally support for her ideas. Or maybe a key supporter, or even the president’s spouse, has made racially-insensitive remarks. It’s 3 a.m. and there’s a phone ringing in the White House. A longtime adviser and friend needs to be cut loose. Who do you want to answer that call?”

A spokesman for presidential rival Sen. Barack Obama said the new Clinton ad is a backhanded attempt to draw attention to Sen. Obama’s failure to disown his controversial pastor, Jeremiah Wright.

To combat the accusation that Sen. Ask yourself this question. Is Nancy Pelosi positioning herself for a role as Vice President on an Obama ticket?? If you spend a few moments on this question you may uncover some data points that may explain some of her recent behavior and public comments:

1) She has now openly endorsed Sen. Obama while at the same time openly attempting to dispell any hope of a dream ticket of Obama and Clinton.

2) She is now asserting herself more visibly and actively in international affairs, the traditional role of the Vice President, as can be observed in her comments about China’s suppression of riots in Tibet.

We suspect that Nancy Pelosi is once again sticking her nose in foreign policy to further her own political aspirations with little coordination or regard to the wishes of the State Department and any diplomacy that may be occurring behind the scenes on the Tibet / China issue…

Could it be she sees herself, not Hillary Clinton as the woman on that “Dream Ticket” ?? Has she convinced Howard Dean and the DNC that she is more beloved with national voters than Hillary Clinton will ever be?

Don’t be surprised to see the Obama / Clinton division deepen and Nancy Pelosi attempt to fuel it and exploit it for herself in the coming months. Afterall… We suspect that she probably sees an opportunity that if she plays her cards right, SHE and not Hillary, might in fact not only be the first woman Vice President but also the first woman President in the U.S. after the first black President’s term is up.

CHENGDU, China (AP) - China accused the Dalai Lama on Sunday of stoking Tibetan unrest to sabotage the Beijing Olympics and also berated House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, saying she is ignoring the truth about Tibet.

This month’s violence in Tibet and neighboring provinces has turned into a public relations disaster for China ahead of the August Olympics, which it had been hoping to use to bolster its international image.

The Chinese government said through official media that formerly restive areas were under control and accused the Dalai Lama, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, of trying to harm China’s image ahead of the summer games.

“The Dalai clique is scheming to take the Beijing Olympics hostage to force the Chinese government to make concessions to Tibet independence,” said the People’s Daily, the main mouthpiece of the Communist Party.

The Tibetan spiritual leader called the accusations against him “baseless,” asserting that he supported China’s hosting of the summer games.

“I always support (that) the Olympics should … take place in Beijing … so that more than 1 billion human beings, that means Chinese, they feel proud of it,” he said Sunday in New Delhi, India.

Pelosi’s visit to the Dalai Lama in Dharmsala, India, on Friday was the first by a major foreign official since the protests broke out. The Democratic leader said if people don’t speak out against China’s oppression in Tibet, “we have lost all moral authority to speak on behalf of human rights anywhere in the world.”

China’s official Xinhua New Agency published commentary Sunday accusing Pelosi of ignoring the violence caused by the Tibetan rioters.

“‘Human rights police’ like Pelosi are habitually bad tempered and ungenerous when it comes to China, refusing to check their facts and find out the truth of the case,” it said.

“Her views are like so many other politicians and western media. Beneath the double standards lies their intention to serve the interest groups behind them, who want to contain or smear China,” it said. More…

The National Black Republican Association Exposes Obama’s Blind Spots

The following is an article from The National Black Republican Association regarding Barack Obama and some little known facts to most Americans. Whether you are black or white, brown or yellow, liberal or conservative, it is worth reading carefully if you intend to vote for Barack Obama.

The NBRA has no problem speaking out on Obama’s POLITICS without fear of being labeled racist. They are in fact providing insight into exactly where Obama’s bread has been buttered in the past and where his sympathies lie in the present. The national media has continued to avoid exposing any additional Obama controversy leading up to the Pennsylvania primary. It is also apparent that the Clinton campaign doesn’t have the courage either to outline what the National Black Republican Association has no trouble doing in their article below. Has the Hillary Clinton bashing gone so far as to blind the Obama cult-like followers to the reality that he is in fact NO DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER POLITICIAN who will say anything to his voters to keep their votes, and attempt to spin past facts away? Is that the CHANGE that Barack Obama represents? Read further and ponder if you are a Democrat. If you are a white Republican, read and be informed as well on what your black brothers and sisters have no guilt or fear about raising publicly.

In his Philadelphia speech on race, Senator Barack Obama justified his 20-year relationship with his anti-American pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, by castigating as racist a host of people, including his own white grandmother who he later lambasted as a “typical white” racist. Conspicuously omitted from Obama’s culpability list is the architect of modern day racism—the Democratic Party.

Obama’s failure to even mention the Democratic Party’s racist past, while confessing that he lied about when he first heard Rev. Wright’s hateful rants, calls into question Obama’s character and judgment. The shocking words of Rev. Wright damned his own country, declaring that innocent Americans deserved to be killed by Islamic terrorists on September 11, 2001.

Since Obama refuses to end his ties to Rev. Wright and has put forth a false face as a presidential candidate, we need to look behind the mask and examine his past to see the real Barack Obama.

Obama’s Slave-owning Relatives

Notably, in his speech, Obama mentioned the slavery history of the family of his wife, Michelle. He failed to say one word about the unsavory slave-owning past of his own white relatives. Historical records uncovered by researchers and posted on the Internet at: http://www.freedomsenemies.com/_more/obama.htmshow that Obama’s maternal forbearers were slaveholders. In fact, one of Obama’s ancestors, George Washington Overall, owned two slaves as is recorded in the Nelson County, Kentucky 1850 Census. The same records show that another one of Obama’s ancestors, Mary Duvall, also owned two slaves. All of Obama’s slave-owning forbearers were Democrats.

Obama, following in the footsteps of his white ancestors, is also part of the Democratic Party that: (1) fought to keep blacks in slavery; (2) started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize Republicans—black and white; (3) passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws; (4) fought every piece of civil rights legislation from the 1860’s to the 1960’s; and (5) attacked Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other civil rights protesters with skin-burning fire hoses and vicious dogs.

Another little known fact

While hiding the racist past of the Democratic Party, Obama refuses to give credit to the Republican Party that: (1) started in 1854 as the anti-slavery party and fought to free blacks from slavery; (2) amended the Constitution to grant blacks freedom, citizenship and the right to vote; (3) started the NAACP to stop the Democrats from lynching blacks; (4) passed the civil rights laws of the 1860’s that were overturned by the Democrats when they took over Congress in 1892; (5) founded the HBCUs; (6) started affirmative action enforcement in 1969 to help blacks get jobs and contracts based on merit; and (7) fought the Democrats for over six decades until Republicans finally achieved passage of the civil rights laws of the 1950’s and 1960’s under the leadership of Republican Senator Everett Dirksen of Illinois.

It defies logic for Democrats to claim that, after Republicans spent over 100 years fighting the Democrats on behalf of blacks and finally won, all the racist Democrats suddenly rushed into the Republican Party. In fact, those racist Democrats declared that that they would rather vote for a “yellow dog” than a Republican because the Republican Party was known as the party for blacks. Facts about the racist past of the Democratic Party can be found in such books as A Short History of Reconstruction by Dr. Eric Foner, Unfounded Loyalty by Rev. Wayne Perryman, Bamboozled by Angela McGlowan, and Wrong on Race by Bruce Bartlett.

The Black Republican

Exposed in these books are the facts that the chief opponents of the landmark 1964 Civil Rights Act were Democrat Senators Sam Ervin, Albert Gore, Sr. and Robert Byrd, a former member of the Ku Klux Klan. Democrat President Lyndon Johnson is applauded as a proponent of civil rights. However, in his 4,500-word State of the Union Address delivered on January 4, 1965, Johnson mentioned scores of topics for federal action, but only thirty five words were devoted to civil rights. He did not mention one word about voting rights.

Democrat President John F. Kennedy is lauded as a civil rights advocate. In reality, Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil rights Act while he was a senator, as did Democrat Senator Al Gore, Sr. After he became president, John F. Kennedy opposed the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King that was organized by A. Phillip Randolph who was a black Republican. President Kennedy, through his brother Attorney General Robert Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI on suspicion of being a Communist in order to undermine Dr. King.

In an effort to shift the racist past of the Democratic Party to the Republican Party, Democrats point a finger at Republican President Richard Nixon for his so-called “Southern Strategy.” These same Democrats expressed no concern when the racially segregated South voted solidly for Democrats; yet unfairly deride Republicans because of the thirty-year odyssey of the South switching to the Republican Party that began in the 1970’s. Nixon’s “Southern Strategy” was an effort on his part to get fair-minded people in the South to stop voting for Democrats who did not share their values and were discriminating against blacks. Georgia did not switch until 2004, and some Southern states are still controlled by Democrats, including Louisiana until the 2007 election of Republican Bobby Jindal, a person of color.

Democrats also castigate Senator Trent Lott for his remarks about Senator Strom Thurmond in a blatant attempt to unfairly paint the Republican Party as a racist party. Where was the outrage when Democrat Senator Christopher Dodd praised former Ku Klux Klanner Democrat Senator Robert Byrd as someone who would have been “a great senator for any moment,” including the Civil War. Notably, Senator Thurmond was never in the Ku Klux Klan and, after he became a Republican, defended blacks against lynching and the discriminatory poll taxes imposed on blacks by Democrats. If Senator Byrd and Senator Thurmond were alive during the Civil War, and Byrd had his way, Thurmond would have been lynched.

Obama’s Muslim Connections

While not denying the basic facts about his Muslim connections, Obama and his defenders parse words, Clintonesque style, in a blatant attempt to discredit anyone who raises the issue. It’s important to scrutinize Obama’s Muslim background to determine if his Islamic past influences his decisions and actions toward America, including his decision to select an anti-American pastor as his spiritual advisor.

Now that his relationship with Rev. Wright has been exposed, Obama is trying to deceive the public by giving speeches with American flags being used as props in the background.

To more fully understand the extent of Obama’s Muslim experiences and how this connection influences his attitude about America, we need to examine some basic, undisputed facts.

Obama was born on August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii, and his full name is Barack Hussein Obama. He is named after his father who was born on the shores of Lake Victoria in Alego, Kenya. Obama’s father was raised as a Muslim and married a white American woman, Anna Dunham of Wichita, Kansas while both were students at the University of Hawaii. Obama’s parents divorced when he was two years old, and when he was six years old, his mother married an Indonesian oil company executive named Lolo Soetoro, who was also a Muslim and who introduced Obama to Islam.

The family moved to Jakarta, Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim country, where they lived for five years from1968 through 1973. Obama first attended a Catholic school for three years. In that school’s documents, Obama is listed under the name Barry Soetoro as an Indonesian citizen, and his religion is listed as Islam. Later, Obama attended a Muslim school where he received Islamic religious training before he was sent back to America to live with his maternal grandmother while his mother and his half-sister, Maya, stayed in Indonesia.

Obama’s half brothers and sisters in Nairobi, Kenya are Muslims. His step-grandmother, Sarah Hussein Obama, is a lifelong Muslim who said: “I am a strong believer of the Islamic faith.” In an April 30, 2007 New York Times interview, Obama’s half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng who now lives in Hawaii, said: “My whole family was Muslim, and most of the people I knew were Muslim.”

Obama, while describing his 1992 wedding, admitted that he was proud of his brother, Roy, who chose Islam over Christianity. “The person who made me proudest of all,” Obama wrote, “was Roy. Actually, now we call him Abongo, his Luo name, for two years ago he decided to reassert his African heritage. He converted to Islam, and has sworn off pork and tobacco and alcohol.”

If Obama were not a Muslim from the time his religion was recorded in Indonesia as Islam until he “converted” to Christianity, then what was he for 27 years? We, as citizens, have a right to know this information about the man who wants to be our next president.

Obama’s Legislative Actions

Considering Obama’s Islamic connections, it is not surprising that he introduced a bill in Illinois called “Islamic Community Day” which proclaimed that November 1, 1997 would be the South Shore Islamic Community Center Day.

Obama’s other legislative actions in Illinois demonstrate that he is a liberal Democrat who puts left-wing ideology before the best interest of the people.

Incredibly, Obama opposed four times the Born Alive Infant Protection Act that would have prohibited a baby that was born alive from being left to die, simply because the mother said she wanted the baby to die. He also sided with the Democratic Party’s radical pro-abortion special interest group by opposing a bill that defines as a “person” a fully born baby who survives an abortion.

Obama was the only member of the Illinois Senate who voted against a bill that prohibited the early release of sexual predators. He also refused to vote for a bill that would have increased penalties for drug traffickers. Obama voted against a bill that made it a criminal offense for convicts to have contact with a street gang while out of jail on bail or on probation. He even voted against a bill that would have delivered the death penalty to gang members who murder first responders. Obama sent a shock wave throughout the state of Illinois when he voted to make a criminal out of a homeowner who was forced to use a gun to defend himself in his own home.

As a US senator, Obama voted against the minimum wage bill. Now, Obama is on the presidential campaign trail promising to increase the minimum wage. What a hypocrite.

Obama and Black Poverty

Obama, in his Philadelphia speech, loudly denounced the deplorable conditions in black communities. Yet, he said not one word about the fact that those communities have been run by Democrats for the past 40 years. The socialist policies of the Democrats have fostered a culture of dependency on government handouts and turned those communities into economic and social wastelands. Obama also rails against the failure to educate black children. However, he gives a pass to teachers’ union special interest groups that are responsible for black children not being educated. Those groups are aligned with the Democratic Party and are against school choice opportunity scholarships that would help black parents get their children out of failing schools. Liberal teachers act against the best interest of black children because they want to keep control of the buildings, and thus the money, but the money belongs to the people, not the buildings.

The root cause of the grinding poverty in black communities that is ignored by Obama is well documented by black Democrat Juan Williams in his book entitled Enough: The Phony Leaders, Dead-End Movements, and Culture of Failure That Are Undermining Black America.

Obama and Corruption

Just coming to light are the sleazy facts about Obama’s relationship and shady real estate deal with Antoin “Tony” Rezko, the Arab-American fundraiser and immigrant from Syria. Rezko has been a friend of Obama’s since his days at Harvard, and Rezko was recently indicted for corruption, found guilty and sent to prison.

The details of the Obama-Rezko deal are astonishing and involve the purchase of Obama’s Edwardian-style mansion in Kenwood, an up-scale section of Chicago where Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan also lives. When Obama sought to buy the grand house, the former owner refused to sell unless Obama also agreed to buy the adjoining land which Obama apparently could not afford. Obama’s friend, Rezko, came to the rescue and bought the adjoining land for $625,000, even though the property could not be accessed from the public street. This cleared the way for Obama to buy the mansion for $1,650,000, about $300,000 less than the asking price. Then, six months later, Obama bought one-sixth of Rezko’s property for $104,500. All of these financial dealings raise questions about whether Rezko subsidized the purchase of Obama’s mansion in violation of ethical rules.

Also, campaign contribution records show that Rezko made substantial contributions to Obama’s 2000 campaign for Congress. A recent report in a British newspaper, The Times, shows that in May 2005, Rezko was loaned $3.5 million by Fintrade Services, a Panamanian company controlled by Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born British billionaire. This is the undeclared loan that landed Obama’s friend and bagman, Rezko, in jail.

We ignore the stench of corruption that surrounds Obama at our peril.

As citizens, we must ask ourselves whether Obama has the character and judgment to be our president. Unfortunately, the answer is no.

Michelle Obama’s Princeton Blackness Thesis

Michelle Obama’s senior year thesis at Princeton University, obtained from the campaign by Politico, shows a document written by a young woman grappling with a society in which a black Princeton alumnus might only be allowed to remain “on the periphery.” … If you take the time to read though this tedious paper, you can no doubt sense her pre-occupation with acceptance in white community with the hypothesized guilt that blacks will have if they become successful in a white culture. A number of references to Stokley Carmichael and Black Panthers and a clinical discussion regarding the pros and cons of integration vs. black chosen separation and separatist movements… (Black solidarity as opposed to cultural assimilation).

“My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my ‘blackness’ than ever before,” the future Mrs. Obama wrote in her thesis introduction. “I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don’t belong. Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second.”

The thesis, titled “Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community” and written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, in 1985, has been the subject of much conjecture on the blogosphere and elsewhere in recent weeks, as it has been “temporarily withdrawn” from Princeton’s library until after this year’s presidential election in November. Some of the material has been written about previously, however, including a story last year in the Newark Star Ledger.

Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would likely lead to her “further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant.”

During a presidential contest in which the term “transparency” has been frequently bandied about, candidates have buried a number of potentially revealing documents and papers. In Hillary Rodham Clinton’s case, there’s been a clamoring for tax records, White House memos and other material the candidate’s team has chosen to keep from release. The 96-page Princeton thesis, restricted from release by the school’s Mudd Library, has also been the subject of recent scrutiny.

Earlier this week, commentator Jonah Goldberg remarked on National Review Online, “A reader in the know informs me that Michelle Obama’s thesis … is unavailable until Nov. 5, 2008, at the Princeton library. I wonder why.”

“Why a restricted thesis?” asked blogger-pastor Louis Lapides on his site Thinking Outside the Blog. “Is the concern based on what’s in the thesis? Will Michelle Obama appear to be too black for white America or not black enough for black America?”

Attempts to retrieve the document through Princeton proved unsuccessful, with school librarians having been pestered so much for access to the thesis that they have resorted to reading from a script when callers inquire about it. Media officers at the prestigious university were similarly unhelpful, claiming it is “not unusual” for a thesis to be restricted and refusing to discuss “the academic work of alumni.” — [Hat Tip: politico.com]

Obama’s Pastor Rev. Jermiah Wright Produces Screenplay For Children’s Video

(WASHINGTON) — The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, recently-retired pastor of Sen. Barack Obama’s home church in Chicago, announced that he’s teaming up with the producers of the Veggie Tales children’s videos to promote his own brand of biblical race relations for boys and girls.The pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, has become nationally-known in recent days for a sermon about Jesus of Nazareth — a poor, black man who was oppressed by rich, white people at a time when no one like Sen. Obama was available to rescue Jesus by bringing change to government.The movie, tentatively titled “Jeremiah and the Giant White Turnip”, will use Veggie Tales’ trademark computer-generated vegetable characters to re-tell the story of Jesus and the whole “of Nazareth” family, starting with their early battles against institutional racism in housing policy, when there was “no room at the inn.”

This is Obama’s pastor of the church he and Michelle has been attending for 20 years, Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. Any racism noted here? No doubt Michelle’s Obama’s recent comments of only very recently feeling good about America ( referring to he husband’s acceptance among whites as a candidate for the presidency) might in fact reflect some of the good pastor’s beliefs.
