APNewsBreak: Researchers to announce evidence of ‘God’ particle that explains universe

Man is perhaps one step closer at understanding the nature of the universe in a super sophisticated research facility on the Swiss / French border – perhaps in a few weeks!  What if Science does actually “prove” the existence of a single “force or power” that is the basis for countless human references to a “God” or  “gods(s)” or the concept of a central creator to explain why we are here and aware of ourselves?  We are in fact matter that is aware of itself which has evolved the “intelligence” to do this investigation which has developed over time and space on our corner of the universe.  If we can discover this surely other species in the universe may in fact have reached that same discovery in their evolution. Such a discovery would link our understanding of the universe in a cosmic mutual history as the search for physical truth should lead all scientific paths ( wherever it occurred in the universe) to the existence of this very same “god particle”…. Now think about this…  What other implications might this have?  Can we finally link Science and Religion?  The final bridge of understanding that removes the last vestiges of religious conflict? Who knows…?

We wonder if all the money and effort put forth to understanding the physical universe, and its basic underlying indisputable truth, is just another form of “prayer” just based in “science” and is actually no different than the “prayer” common to all the cultures of the past ( and perhaps on other worlds) that made an effort to pay homage and seek a communication with a creator they could not see but intuitively believe is present in this world right along side us to explain their own existence??  Hmm…  for particle physics this is a BIG DEAL in that it may prove that in fact there is SOMETHING that is responsible for creating the universe…  it did not come out of nothing.  Where these particles come from and how they came to be will sound very much like a religious claim.  I would expect the explanation to be postulated:  “It was always there and always will be… without beginning or end”   …the underlying essence of everything?  So now what ?   We are still killing each other on this planet !!  — ZZB

GENEVA — Scientists working at the world’s biggest atom smasher plan to announce Wednesday that they have gathered enough evidence to show that the long-sought “God particle” answering fundamental questions about the universe almost certainly does exist.

But after decades of work and billions of dollars spent, researchers at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN, say they aren’t quite ready to say they’ve “discovered” the particle.

Instead, experts familiar with the research at CERN’s vast complex on the Swiss-French border say that the massive data they have obtained will essentially show the footprint of the key particle known as the Higgs boson — all but proving it exists — but doesn’t allow them to say it has actually been glimpsed.

It appears to be a fine distinction. Senior CERN scientists say that the two independent teams of physicists who plan to present their work at CERN’s vast complex on the Swiss-French border on July 4 are about as close as you can get to a discovery without actually calling it one.

“I agree that any reasonable outside observer would say, ‘It looks like a discovery,’” British theoretical physicist John Ellis, a professor at King’s College London who has worked at CERN since the 1970s, told The Associated Press. “We’ve discovered something which is consistent with being a Higgs.”  — AP NEWS via Washington Post >>> READ MORE !!

So just how many of you are surprised at this turn of events? Our Prediction:  President Obama will have his hands full trying to contain Prime Minister Netenyahu from making a unilateral strike on Iran target sites before the election.  Israel also knows that having Obama in the White House is not all that healthy for their country’s security. A strike in late summer early fall will also send oil and gas prices through the roof thus ensuring the defeat of President Obama at the polls while not only disrupting the  Iranian’s “peaceful atomic energy program”.   The White House must be on pins and needles about what steps the Israelis will now take with or without our support…

Talks between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) over inspections of suspect nuclear sites broke down on Friday, deepening pessimism over the prospects of a negotiated settlement to the international impasse over Tehran’s nuclear aspirations.

Negotiations at the agency headquarters in Vienna were aimed at agreeing the framework for an IAEA investigation into whether Iran had a nuclear weapons programme in the past, something Tehran has denied. The break-down of the talks is likely to further damage the prospects for broader negotiations between Iran and six major powers due to resume in Moscow on 17 June, aimed at finding a compromise over the Iranian uranium enrichment programme and forestalling Israeli military action.

An IAEA statement after the talks expressed “disappointment” with Iranian negotiating tactics, saying the Tehran delegation “raised issues that we have already discussed and added new ones”. The statement said no date had been set for a follow-on meeting.

The failure of the talks is a personal blow to the authority of the IAEA director general, Yukiya Amano, who flew to Tehran to finalise an agreement and returned declaring the deal all but clinched.

At the heart of discussions was the IAEA inspectors’ wish to visit a military site at Parchin as a priority, in order to look into intelligence reports that a special metal chamber had been installed there in 2000 for testing high-explosive components of a nuclear warhead.  READ MORE>>>

LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD!

Protect your religious liberty and freedom of conscience!

A recent edict by the US Department of Health & Human Services is “literally unconscionable.” It demands that sterilization, abortive drugs and contraception be included and mandated in all company health plans in the U.S. Including those of religious organizations! Conveniently this will go into effect in early 2013 — after the Presidential election under “Obama Care”. This mandate, which includes religious organizations who offer insurance to their employees, is an assault on religious beliefs being imposed upon a religion by the state. Hopefully it will be struck down by the Supreme Court sometime this year…  but in the meantime in an unprecedented fashion, Roman Catholic bishops are fighting back with the help of the House of Representatives.

To correct the threats to religious liberty and rights of conscience posed by PPACA (Obama Care), the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act has been introduced in Congress (H.R. 1179, S. 1467). This measure will ensure that those who participate in the health care system “retain the right to provide, purchase, or enroll in health coverage that is consistent with their religious beliefs and moral convictions.” It is more important than ever that Members of Congress be urged to co-sponsor this measure.

Study the issue & then write to Congress urging support for the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act here.

Read on to see and hear the thoughtful and articulate video response from one Catholic bishop in the U.S. that should make all of us open our eyes regardless of our faith – or non-faith… Continue reading

Charles Krathammer out did himself with this article pointing out the audacity of demogoguery that has been gushing forth from the anointed one’s lips recently.  Hypocrisy and double standards not withstanding, it’s hard to avoid getting the distinct feeling that Obama’s speeches are delivered with the basic assumption that his audience is comprised of a bunch of simple minded idiots that will drink whatever flavor of kool-aid he has to offer us on any particular day. Charles Krathammer’s column is spot dead on with his latest observations…

I’m going to do my part to lead a constructive and civil debate on these issues.

— Barack Obama, speech on immigration, El Paso, May?10

Constructive and civil debate — like the one Obama initiated just four weeks ago on deficit reduction? The speech in which he accused the Republicans of abandoning families of autistic and Down syndrome kids? The debate in which Obama’s secretary of health and human services said that the Republican Medicare plan would make old folks “die sooner”?

In this same spirit of comity and mutual respect, Obama’s most recent invitation to civil discourse — on immigration — came just 11 minutes after he accused opponents of moving the goal posts on border enforcement. “Maybe they’ll need a moat,” he said sarcastically. “Maybe they want alligators in the moat.”

Nice touch. Looks like the Tucson truce — no demonization, no cross-hairs metaphors — is officially over. After all, the Republicans want to kill off the elderly, throw the disabled in the snow and watch alligators lunch on illegal immigrants.

The El Paso speech is notable not for breaking any new ground on immigration but for perfectly illustrating Obama’s political style: the professorial, almost therapeutic, invitation to civil discourse, wrapped around the basest of rhetorical devices — charges of malice compounded with accusations of bad faith. “They’ll never be satisfied,” said Obama about border control. “And I understand that. That’s politics.”

How understanding. The other side plays “politics,” Obama acts in the public interest. Their eyes are on poll numbers, political power, the next election; Obama’s rest fixedly on the little children.

This impugning of motives is an Obama constant. “They” play politics with deficit reduction, with government shutdowns, with health care. And now immigration. It is ironic that such a charge should be made in a speech that is nothing but politics. There is zero chance of any immigration legislation passing Congress in the next two years. El Paso was simply an attempt to gin up the Hispanic vote as part of an openly political two-city, three-event campaign swing in preparation for 2012.

Accordingly, the El Paso speech featured two other staples: the breathtaking invention and the statistical sleight of hand.

A Special Message from Citizens Against Government Waste

Dear ZZNR Reader:

You may have seen the powerful new TV ad “The Chinese Professor” that is viewing on networks like Fox News and major programs across the nation.

The Chinese Professor offers a chilling warning: “Great nations fail because they turn their backs on the principles that made them great.”

This harrowing ad takes place in Beijing in 2030 and provides a glimpse of the bleak future awaiting our country if we don’t act today.

America, thanks to Obama and his liberal friends in Washington, have been turning their back on our founding principles.

This incredible ad was created by Citizens Against Government Waste, the nation’s leading fiscal watchdog in Washington.

Like you, they are worried about Obama’s ballooning deficits, his tax-and-spend plans, his trillion dollar Obamacare program.

Spending money we don’t have, and borrowing from China to finance the spree, the Obama administration has hurled us down a path of self-destruction.

Like a loan-shark waiting in the wings, China lends willingly, knowing that when we are unable to pay our debts they will, essentially, own us.

The more indebted the U.S. becomes, the more powerful China grows!

We must change course, immediately!

Please watch this powerful TV ad — See It Here Now

We are on a terrifying path.

But it’s not too late.

The president and liberals in Washington may have abandoned the principles that have built the greatest nation in history, but we have not.

Please watch this ad.

Please share this ad with your friends and family.

And please donate to Citizens Against Government Waste so they can continue their national TV campaign showing this ad.

Join us in fighting back. Our future depends on it.

Please help us by Going Here Now

Thank you.

We are proud to be entering our 8th year online, and we wish to thank all of you who check in every now and then to get a laugh at our satirical cartoons or read an article by contributing artists and authors.

During the past year we have expanded our topic areas to include more editorials and reviews of select business software products and services geared primarily for small online website start up marketing.  We made this decision to expand into these areas for three reasons:

1. To pass along some valuable experience to our readership gained over our 8 years of running and monetizing this site and other websites. Our objective is to provide some products and services to help other small website owners discover ways to offset their server costs by promoting good quality software products to their readers. Our intent is to help readers sort out the scams from the legitimate products of all types based on many years of experience. We will continue to provide free open source information as well as specialized information for our Premium Subscribers in the future.  More information about Premium services later on this month. One additional reason to expand was due to the overwhelmingly positive reaction we have received from hundreds of readers who appreciated the articles written last year to help them uninstall problematic software from their computers.  We will continue to try and provide value in this area of PC software support in the future as well.

2. A recognition that with the economic situation more and more folks are trying to find alternative sources of income from home using the internet yet they might know very much about how to make it happen!  We will provide guidance, information, discounted software from our affiliates, eGuides and eBooks for those of you who might be interested in starting up your own website to produce some additional extra income.

You can always decide what types of article you would like to be automatically notified of by making changes to your subscription eMail notification settings.

3. We will continue to post satirical cartoons and political humor, news, culture and political editorials albeit with more of a Libertarian slant than in the past.  We have developed no special love for either major party, and won’t, at least not until one or the other or both start listening to, and embracing the will of the majority of American people and not their own special interest pocket lining agendas. This especially applies to both the far left and far right radical ideologies.  Partisan politics is becoming evil in this country and it weakens us as a nation! Nuff said on that subject.

ZardozZ News and Reviews will always maintain a FREE readership publication subscription along side a Premium Level membership subscription that will provide users access to special software, immediate free downloads and product discounts of all types a number of DIRECT from the manufacturer at our sister sites at Rockbridge Downloads and Reviews.

My wife was insistent. She had to have a boat, not just any boat, but a pontoon party boat…with two decks…and a bar…and plenty of shade. We live on the Florida panhandle and she obviously had been hanging around the marina too much. But, we have four teenagers and our kids have friends, we have friends, and our friends have friends. Maybe a pontoon boat was what we needed.

I started looking online one evening, and my 17-year old son looked over my shoulder.

“Whatcha lookin’ at, Dad?” I told him what we were thinking, and he was shocked.

“Online?? You’re looking online? That can be dangerous. What’s wrong with a dealer?”

I replied that dealers were fine if you wanted a new boat. But we had already been to the local dealers and they didn’t have any used.

“Well, would you at least go to boattrader.com? They have a reputation to uphold.”

Smart kid. I hadn’t thought about that. I spent the next several weeks looking and finally found “the one.” Everyone in the family approved…right size, right details to suit my wife, right price…to suit me.

We have a genius in our house, and it isn’t me! Our 15-year old daughter said, “Well, that’s great, but you aren’t just going to buy it online, are you? Without a chance to try it out, without knowing the seller, without knowing anything about the boat? You’re just going to give some stranger your money? That’s not very smart, Pops.”

I asked if she had a suggestion. Of course she did. “Google ‘escrow companies for online purchases’.” Like I said, another smart kid. She told me her math class had been studying escrow and the teacher mentioned it for expensive online purchases.

I found www.rmctrader.com and was immediately impressed. They would verify the seller, the title, look for repair records, and handle all the money. Seemed like a no-brainer. But would the seller agree? Would the seller even know about rmctrader.com?

I contacted him and asked if we could see the boat. He agreed. When we got there, we really liked what we saw. It was ‘as advertised,’ and there didn’t appear to be anything wrong with it. The seller appeared honest, but appearances can be deceiving. I asked him, “Would you be willing to use www.rmctrader.com?” He asked me to explain. After I did, he thought it was a great idea.

We agreed on a price, and then contacted rmctrader.com. After setting up the transaction, the seller brought me the boat. I played with it for a few days and discovered it was exactly what we wanted. The great people at rmctrader.com assured me the seller was the legal owner, and everything was in order. The boat had had only one repair and it was minor, just like he’d said. I told the seller, “Yes!” and authorized rmctrader.com to release the money.

Everyone sailed away happy! My wife had her boat and we have smart kids!
